The woem.men drama that people still talk about

There was drama on the Fediverse involving woem.men that many people still remember even now.

The situation started when That Closeted Girl posted a document explaining what they said happened behind the scenes with the woem.men moderation team. In the document, they accused some of the moderators of lying to people and acting in ways that made others feel unsafe. One of the names mentioned the most was Leah, who was one of the moderators on the server.

The document also said that Ashten, who owns woem.men, knew about some of the things that were happening. Instead of stepping in to deal with it, That Closeted Girl said Ashten continued defending Leah while everything was getting worse.

A lot of people across the Fediverse started reading the document for themselves. Many people became upset after seeing the screenshots and claims that were shared. Some people said they no longer trusted woem.men because of what was being said.

After the document spread around, Leah made her own response trying to defend herself. She said the claims were false and tried to put the blame back onto That Closeted Girl. Instead of calming people down, her response made even more people argue about what really happened.

The situation became bigger when transfem.social was mentioned during the drama. Some people in my own friend group said they believed parts of that were not true, which made the entire situation feel even messier than it already was.

That Closeted Girl later said they would never return to the Fediverse after everything that happened. After reading everything myself more than once, I can understand why they feel that way.

Many people now see the woem.men situation as more than just another argument online. To some people, it became an example of what can happen when trust inside a community starts falling apart.

Some people also believe that not every admin inside that server fully knows what happened, and that some of them may also be hearing a different version of the story from Leah and Ashten.
